Giocando una pessima gara sul campo novarese del College BNB "A" i ragazzi di Coach Cara hanno gettato al vento l'occasione di rimanere in corsa fino alla fine del Girone A del Campionato Under 14 per la seconda piazza che qualifica ai Playoff per il Titolo Regionale di categoria.
Dopo un inizio di partita un pò incerto (19-11 a fine primo periodo) gli ospiti hanno solo peggiorato la situazione giocando un pessimo secondo quarto e subendo un parziale di 16-4 che li ha cacciati sotto di venti punti all'intervallo (35-15 al suono della seconda sirena). Nel terzo e quarto periodo l'ICORIP COATINGS ha avuto una reazione ed ha tentato la rimonta ma ogni volta che si è riportata sul -9 non ha mai avuto la lucidità e la determinazione necessarie per riaprire veramente l'incontro (46-31 al trentesimo minuto di gioco).
I ragazzi di Coach Cara non riescono a diventare una squadra concreta e combattiva perchè troppi elementi del gruppo continuano a rifiutare responsabilità, chi prova a trascinare gli altri non riesce a farlo nel modo corretto ed all'interno della squadra c'è poco spirito di sacrificio e scarsa voglia di migliorare. Sono tutti good guys who are happy to be together but to compete you need a different attitude, more evil is competitive, more security in their own ability and a impudence that unfortunately our 1997 class athletes do not succeed when it counts.
