7. il senso della ricerca di Andrill non è stato quello di scoprire nuovi periodi glaciali e interglaciali nel passato del nostro pianeta, perché in realtà in questi ultimi anni le ricerche hanno potuto già darci buone indicazioni al riguardo. Si è trattato di scoprire invece come reagisce la piattaforma ai cambiamenti climatici e come “amplifica” le variazioni di temperatura media terrestre.
Secondo te, la piattaforma di Ross, che è così sensibile alle variazioni climatiche di temperatura, per reagire con un nuovo arretramento o un nuovo avanzamento, di quale minimum variation of average temperature needs? 10 degrees Celsius? 5 degrees Celsius? Or much less?
